Recruitment consultant / Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Job description

The 360 recruiter is responsible for attracting candidates and matching them to contract or permanent positions with existing and new clients. The roles we work are Senior Level and a large amount of head hunting will be involved in this role.

You will not be building a desk from a completely cold start as there are warm leads to work with. However, as with all full cycle recruitment roles, business development will play a big part initially.

Relationship building will be a big part of the role in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements. We attract our candidates by networking, headhunting and through referrals as well as various advertising methods.

Typical daily activities

A recruitment consultant’s role is demanding and diverse and involves:

  • using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking in order to attract business from clients
  • building relationships with clients;
  • developing a good understanding of clients, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment;
  • advertising
  • headhunting – identifying and approaching suitable candidates;
  • Using the database to search suitable candidates
  • receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and short-listing candidates;
  • briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job
  • preparing CV’s and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants;
  • organising interviews for candidate as requested by the client;
  • informing candidates about the results of their interviews;
  • negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates;
  • offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression
